Whoo !  Been ages since a journal write.

So, I keep saying I will make an Assassin Creed cosplay.  Ezio, Connor, even an Edward but things keep distracting me.  Mainly Tolkien inspiration. So here I am with the mighty need of wanting to cosplay Frerin - whom is planned for sure with my BotFA Thorin ; both wardrobes like the madman I am for Colossalcon 2015. But I really am not stopping there.. my mind keeps on wandering back to Bill Connolly's performance as Dain II.  I really want to cosplay him as well. All the Dwarviness. All the time. Hell even the Larp character I have in store for the summer is getting Dwarven armor made that is mainly Erebor toop inspired. Every day. I have been tainted, but in a good way.

Ah, there is so much to still do.  To alter/redo, and overall touch up. It makes my brain bleed and ooze from my eyeballs to be honest with you. Because despite all the redo/alters - whatever I decided the time - I still need to get started on his coat, Orcrist scabbard, Deathless, and Deathless' scabbard.  : Face. Desk. :  I may even want a satchel of some kind to carry around important things during con/photoshoots ..  And possibly the map. When I obtain it. : Snort. : But yeah.. slow setting insanity. Especially since I aim for Midoricon 2.5, and pitched a photoshoot idea in their forestry surroundings that involves spider webbing. Lots.. of spider webbing. I just hope I can get that material to achieve this shoot.

So upon stumbling on Jackson's most recent video log through youtube. I am reminded of the excitement that was dormant until now.. That I am in dire need of to just settle and work on Orcrist's scabbard and Kili's sword. The prop maker in me is drooling over that fine axe as well. xD So who knows what the following week or two will bring. Will most likely be posting WIP pictures like usual. I can't stress how much I want to get my dirty hands on leather though..x.X;

So, who all is going to dress up for the Premiere in a theater near them ?  If so , as who ?

Granted I have a lot of stuff to do before December as I keep reassuring myself it'll happen. Now that my funds is going to gradually be pouring in - alas !  I can obtain the leather I truly wanted for my boot covers and among other things to be redone. Belt buckle will be redone especially. I really had no excuse to not put on the make up I originally wanted to give my face some aging and well overall battle worn appearance. But.. we didn't age the wig, nor recede it's hair line.  So.. I decided to take a more younger appearance. I'm kind of going hard on myself over it too. I got lazy, and half assed my effort on getting ready at the convention.  Granted we did have a lot of people in our room.  Things seem scattered and hectic.. which overall I think dampened my mood to become this lazy. With an added baggage of lack of sleep, the crepe wool not working right due to being overused. So yeah..  I promise to myself, among others...  That I will better the image , I respect this character too much not to. Hopefully I can afford the time to get the axe, orcrist scabbard, and the dwarvish sword and scabbard before the premiere . If the scale armor does not take up most of my time that is.

Yes, I am being too hard on myself. But it is a beta version afterall......

I know, I promised creed cosplays. I got to thinking though, because my original line up was as so - Ezio, Connor, and then Thorin Oakenshield. However, after careful consideration with the upcoming film, and the premiere  only happening once. I decided to bump Thorin ahead of all. Also, I made an event out of this and so far I have a Dwalin, Ori, Bofur , Bombur, and maybe two nephews Fili and Kili to cosplay with me at this event. Not to mention two halfling Bilbos to pick at, maybe a Gandalf to keep us all in line. Elves of three, Thranduil, Legolas, and Elrond - far too many if you ask me. A Smaug to taunt us all.I will admit, I have completely put my beloved assassins aside for this. Been working on Orcrist, and trying to figure out a legit way to make this blade glow by switch..and not mucking up the near perfect metallic paint. Then on to prosthetics as the next line up in progress. Axe, rings, key, and smoking pipe to follow suit with belt accessories. While shopping for big ass boots. I must drown in them  xD but yeah, so far that has been e highlight of ideas. I will eventually offer progress pictures of Orcrist soon.


For this I swear is my last change up, and I'm sticking to it. For those who wanted to see a finished Vatiel, I am sorry I won't be bringing him to Ohayocon. However, I do aim once my funds start coming in. To work on him a bit on the side of Thorin.  Due to wanting to add him to the Haunted House I usually help work during October.
